Well your mom obviously thought she had the $300 if she wrote out the check. Can't she just write out a check to you, for the $300 she thought already came out of her account, when it really didn't? |

Well if you can spare the money go ahead and pay it, I am sure your mom is wandering what it hasn't cleared her bank - just tell her- it wont stress her out- she wouldn't have written the check if she didn't have it - stuff happens,,,,, lizard-1 |

yeah it's just that she wrote the check a few months back, and now money is kind of tight. I think I may try to save some money and see if I can pay it. hopefully i can get the money before it goes on my credit. |

Well your mom obviously mistook your checkbook for hers, she should have the money to cover the check she wrote so I don't think it will cause her any strain to repay money to you that she already wrote a check for. Did you speak to the company bout this? Just talk to her. It was a mistake that can easily be corrected. She wouldn't have written the check if she didn't have the money in the first place. I'm sure she will sort it. |

As much as you don't want to bother your mom you may have to about it...If it was a mix up I'm sure she had/has the money in her own account to cover the written check...I know banks have charges for ISF and if the check is returned twice to your bank you're looking at at least a $50 (or more) charge and then after the second return to your bank you'll have to pick it up at the store it was written to with a return check charge on top of the amount it was written for..I hope y'all can work this out and save you some on the charges... |
