Date: 7/20/2004 12:16:00 PM From Authorid: 29928 Wow..never heard of this before. I want to see the replies too. I do talk in my sleep off and on and have for years...I think a lot of people do, but I don't know enough about the doll, to offer an opinion..maybe someone will. Bookmarking this so I can keep up. Hugs, |
Date: 7/20/2004 12:19:00 PM From Authorid: 29928 Oh I will also add that when I do talk in my sleep..it is off the wall stuff that pertains to absolutely nothing in real life. I think most of it comes from our sub-conscience minds. |

nothing is abnormal. Everything can be seen as "normal" in its own individual context. I find this quite funny |
Date: 7/20/2004 12:31:00 PM From Authorid: 26363 I don't normally talk in my sleep but I do wake myself singing in my sleep! Let me assure you I cannot sing at all! LOL Sorry you're struggling with it. It's understandable. Perhaps your just stressed at the moment. Maybe it will pass. |
Date: 7/20/2004 12:37:00 PM From Authorid: 25390 SD....ummm...what are you smoking and can I have some?! J/k dear. I'm sorry you're having these episodes. I'm sure it is because of the stress you are dealing with right now. I hope it gets better for you soon *hugs* In the mean time, give me your car keys and let me drive. |

Ok iv'e never heard of such as the doll thing before, so I guess I'm in the same boat as Pammie Rose, but I have been told by my husband I talk in my sleep sometimes also. And my personal oppinion on it is that if I find that I have had stessful times going on in my life...it seems to happen more often than not...so I have chalked mine up to stress related. Best of luck tho...and maybe before too long this will indeed pass for you...Let's hope. Your USM Friend, Slickchick :-> |
Date: 7/20/2004 1:36:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30747 Hi Pammie Rose. I also hope to get some insight in on this. The sleep talking is annoying but I can deal with it. I'm sure it's stress related. The little person is another story. THAT really makes me feel like I'm losing it. If my sleep talk comes from my sub conscience then I'm a really wierd individual. Some of the things I've said are so off the wall and, shall we say, inappropriate. *smiles* |
Date: 7/20/2004 1:37:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30747 Author 35051. I also find it funny. *smiles* |
Date: 7/20/2004 1:38:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30747 Hi Morning Glory. Singing huh? I'll mention that to hubby and maybe he'll be grateful I don't do that. LOL That would give him nightmares. |
Date: 7/20/2004 1:41:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30747 Oddsmell LOL you crack me up. Oh wait. I'm already cracked up. *smiles* Okay, here's the keys. Just promise you won't turn me in for nothin' and keep the men in the white coats away from me. |
Date: 7/20/2004 1:44:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30747 Hi Slick Chick I hope it passes soon too. Maybe I should start by getting rid of some of the stress in my life. I'm glad to know the sleep talking is common. Now if I can figure out the little people thing I'll be alright. Thanks |
Date: 7/20/2004 2:30:00 PM From Authorid: 47218 souldrifter, talking in your sleep to that extent is a type of sleep disorder. And, I'm not a neurologist, but I could see how it could be possible that your hallucinations during the day are related to your sleeping problem. For one thing, it is well-known that a lack of good sleep can result in hallucinations. And it's probably all being exacerbated by your extremely stressful work situation (yes, I've read all about that). In any case, I wouldn't call you crazy, but seeing things is not a good sign and something that you should definitely talk to a doctor about. Think of it as your brain trying to say: "hey, girlfriend, something's really wrong here!" |
Date: 7/20/2004 2:38:00 PM From Authorid: 29928 SD, I would tend to agree with Mollycat here, I think a visit to a doctor is warranted. She is right in that a lack of sleep will and can bring on hallucinations. Maybe he/she can prescribe you something to help you sleep. At least when I talk,I stay asleep. I hope you get all of this worked out. Hugs, |
Date: 7/20/2004 3:08:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30747 Author only, thank you for your advice and concern. I believe much as you do. I am totally devoted to the Lord but admit that from time to time I "dabble" in ghost things and such. Nothing mystical or like that. I will take your advice to heart thanks. |
Date: 7/20/2004 3:11:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30747 MollyCat, I think you're on to something there. I never thought about the little person hallucination being associated with my sleeping problems. Truth be told, I've been having ALOT of trouble with sleeping. Some nights it doesn't feel as if I slept at all even though I was asleep for 7-8 hours. It gets so bad that I take Tylonol PM just to get any decent sleep. Seems to help but maybe that is hurting more than helping. I definitely WILL see a doctor about this. It could get worse if I don't. Thanks. *hugs* |
Date: 7/20/2004 3:14:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30747 Thank you Pammie Rose. I will do that too. *hugs* |
Date: 7/20/2004 3:16:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30747 *smiles* @ Author only #2. I hear ya there. I think you're right too. I've been laughing it off but I think it could be leading to that as well. I've also notice mood swings that are not like me. You are SOOOO right,as is everyone else...time to seek medical answers on this one. I'm glad you're doing better now. *hugs* |
Date: 7/20/2004 3:24:00 PM From Authorid: 16671 When stressed I do the same thing, I slapped the old man in my sleep. LOL You need to get to the root of the problem, ya know what it is that is making you so stressed, if work, find some way to fix it. I woke myself up this morning talking in my sleep about a murdered renting atv's. LOL Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. |
Date: 7/20/2004 3:26:00 PM From Authorid: 16671 As for the doll, no thats not crazy seeing things like that. Of course thats my opinion and people think I'm nuts. There is another *world* out there. |
Date: 7/20/2004 3:31:00 PM From Authorid: 16671 OH one other thought, and that was murder not murdered, DUH to me. But sometimes and I dont say this to alarm you, but sometimes when seeing stuff, especially when one smells strange smells or metalic smells, I've often heard that it could be brain tumor. None the less, your agitation and stress is coming out in your sleep rather then confront the issues or deal with them. I don't know if your like me, but I'd rather remain calm, keep stuff in then have blow up, OR WELL I was like that, and all the stress came out in my sleep, talking in my sleep, grinding my teeth, smacking people and then sometimes I'd have dreams so real that I'd get upset and the husband or whom ever had HECK to pay. He would have to remind me all day, that it was a dream and not reality, as sometimes I just could not seperate the two. |
Date: 7/20/2004 3:41:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30747 Hi Ya Firstborn. Yes I am like you and let things build up. I'm normally calm, especially at work when I'm expected to take care of the gazillion problems ect and be all professional about it. Perfect example...today I found out the IRS put a levy on our bank account for $54,000. The company is failing and I'm doing all I can to keep it going. Well, I don't know how much longer I can go. BUT I'm calm *bites fingernails*. I've got it all together *uncontrolable eye twitch* My husband is in for a REAL talk fest tonight. *smiles* |
Date: 7/20/2004 6:34:00 PM From Authorid: 53558 I am sorry you are going through this and I wish could help, but I don't have the answer. I hope you solve your problem soon...(",). |
Date: 7/20/2004 11:53:00 PM From Authorid: 62146 :| what the heck are you doing making this post your ment to be decorateing the chicken! common hurry! :| lol joking well this sounds like the stress is starting to go to your head a bit. I think it will be worth it to sit and relax for awhile. it is a nesesity to rest not a privilage. now if seeing things and talking in your sleep dose not stop then see a doctor seeing things dose not sounds good. I am sorry about what your going though. hopefully your mental state will be back in order. good luck if you ever need to talk MSG Me. (((hugs))) peace out. |
Date: 7/21/2004 12:44:00 AM From Authorid: 20956 you poor thing! I talk in my sleep sometimes and my bf says i say some of the weirdest things (probably up there with your decorating the chicken comment!). i am not too sure why its happening to you but you said you are stressed at work ... maybe your body is finding it hard to wind down and relax and go to sleep. So really when you have fallen asleep, your mind is still ticking over like crazy? Just a guess though ... and perhaps this little girl you are seeing is a form of halucination? I mean, you might be so tired from talking in your sleep (i dont believe people talk in REM sleep which is the only stage that your body is actually really resting) that you are simply seeing things. Perhaps go to your doctor and see what they say? good luck |
Date: 7/21/2004 2:08:00 AM From Authorid: 58308 wow! i don't know about the talking in the sleep but I remember on a show one time with a dancing baby. Ally McBeal. That's where the dancing baby was. |
Date: 7/25/2004 10:43:00 PM From Authorid: 56840 Many things are relative, but one thing is certain. Sleep is a top priority that should not be shunted to the side..I only wish stress didn't play a role in preventing undisturbed sleep.. I hope that your china doll chicken problem has been solved, seeing as this is a slightly old post.. |
