My children...(the writers challenge from Hey Hey Paula)

There are a few people in my life whom I admire and believe have made a difference in my life...they are my children.

My first child came as a big surprise. She was very much wanted after I found out I was pregnant and never questioned that at any point. She is such an amazing and caring person and to be honest the path I was on at the point I became pregnant was not such a great one. I think having her is what turned me around and made me who I am today. Without her I doubt I would have had much purpose and motivation to turn things around for the better.

After finding out I was pregnant with my second child it was such an uphill battle just keeping him inside me long enough to be healthy and the scares we had while pregnant with him over whether he would be healthy made me stronger and instilled a deeper faith in me then I ever thought I could have. It showed me what unconditional love really was all about. How he looked or what conditions he may have been born with didnt matter to me...all that mattered was that he was born alive. And after his birth he has continued to amaze me with his sweet personality and his funny little quirks and his sense of humor.

With the last child again he was a surprise and again a difficult pregnancy. Having him taught me how to really be patient because he tests my patience daily and has since he started crawling. It always amazed me how any one baby could find so much to get into but with that I realized he has an endless curiosity about the world around him. He continually asks why and how about every little thing. His thirst for knowledge about how things work and why things are the way they are will never cease to amaze me.

The things I admire most in my children I try to reflect in myself....their determination, self-image, sense of humors, energies, thirst for knowledge and caring spirits. Just being a part of them and knowing they are a part of me makes me a better person. They have taught me so much over the years and I know will continue to teach me until I am no longer around. There is nobody else I think in this world who could possibly have had a bigger effect on my life then them.
