I live in an old plantation style house, which no one has been able to date because of how old it is. But the estimated construction time is the 1820's. If you have ever seen Gone With The Wind, my house looks a little like Tara.
Anyhow, this all started about three weeks ago, when my brother in law Chris started having some car troubles. The car has broken down every weekend since it began. One night I was standing in the kitchen on a calm night, there was no wind, and the front door slammed violently open. The next night it did the same thing while my brother in law was walking down the stairs.
A couple of nights later I dreamed that two little girls (both of them African American) were sneaking into our pool at night to swim. One night one of them was nearly swallowed by a shark, but I pulled her out in time. A few nights later my sister dreamed that there were two women, (both African American) trapped inside of our house with something evil.
Last night my brother in law was walking outside to check the gates and make sure everything was locked, when he stepped off the stairs (it was very dark last night, and he never turns the lights on when he goes outside) he stepped on and killed one of our kittens, it was completely by accident, and he even cried when he confessed this moring.
As I was walking downstairs this morning to get a glass of water I heard someone laughing as I descended the stairs. I thought perhaps my sister had stayed up late on the phone with her boyfriend, but she was deeply asleep when I checked on her.
Then this morning, the weirdest thing of all happened. I was pulling out of the driveway taking my younger sister to work, and I noticed something was odd about the way my brother in laws car was parked. It looked as if though it were sinking, or had a flat tire. Upon closer inspection,we could see a HUGE tree branch had crashed into it, smashing the back window, and flattening the back tires. The branch is still leaning half way on the tree, and the rest of it on the car. We can not move the brand or the car, we have to hire someone. It is an enourmous limb.
