Dear Daddy,
How have you been? Where have you gone?
You promised we'd play some soccer on the lawn
I asked mommy where you were, and she started to cry
Daddy, maybe you could tell me why
Why does mommy hurt, and why are you never home
How come I'm always left playing alone
I miss how we used to play, for hours on end
You're my favorite, bestest friend
Who is that lady, that you're always with
Tell me a story! One of those myths!
Tuck me into bed, and say sweet dreams
When monsters come, stop my screams
I got a new toy, would please play with me
Why aren't things how they used to be?
Mommy won't talk, all I see are tears
Take away all of mommy's fears
I've tried waking mommy, but she won't wake
Why won't she just get up and bake
Daddy she won't listen, she still sleeps
And I don't hear her small little weeps
Where is mommy, and where are you?
Isn't there something you can do?
I called 911, they took mommy away
They've been trying to get ahold of you all day
Where is she now, I want to go!
Maybe it's fun, like the zoo, or the show!
They say she isn't coming back, why isn't she?
What did you to her, daddy?
Make her come back, I want to go home
Why did she leave me so alone?
Daddy answer my questions, tell me why
You loved that lady, and mommy had to die
