ANY ADVICE ON A CONDITION CALLED CONGENITAL MUSCULAR TORTICOLLIS???? -Leana

I found out finally today that my 10 month old baby Brother has a condition called Congenital Muscular Torticollis. I looked it up online. I found the information on what it is. I know it's a condition that some babies are born with where they tilt there head to either the right or the left. And it has to due with a rupture of some kind in the back of the neck. And since they are just now finding it, it may take surgery for it to be repaired since he is so close to being one year old. They usually out-grow it by 8 months. But he hasn't and it's become more obvious the bigger he gets. So anyways, my question is, is there a link to muscular dystrophy and his condition or are they two totally different things?

If anyone has any advice it would be very much appreciated.

*hugs*

Leana

The fibrosis is too tight which is causen the head to turn that way. The best thing for him is exercise, stretches, and physical therapy *hugs* good luck hun! Love you
