DO NOT TAKE BANANAs, the perfume in the fruit attracts mosquitoes and other crawlies. Do take some baby wipes and some bounce sheets. take a roll of aluminum foil and use it to make food packets to toss on the barbeque or fire. You make little envelopes of meat, potatoes and veggies and they cook in their own juices and no dishes. |

How much are you roughing it? Are you going to a campground with facilities or just out in the woods with no one around? Some stuff I have found to be helpful(for a girl) is hair clips, ties, etc...of course tp as mentioned, sunscreen, bug spray, water(in case wherever you are is nasty tasting), box of baby wipes...paper towels...small broom for sweeping out tent. There are other things that you could take but is your preference. Food wise...cold chicken is always good stuff for sandwiches, chips, crud like that. simple stuff. Have fun! and dont forget your flash light and camera |

Make sure you have pillows, a flashlight..actually a couple flashlights and spare batteries for them. If you can get your hands on a lantern that would be great too..Make sure you have a couple coolers as well..One to keep your food in and another one to keep plenty of water and other drinks in. |

I go camping all the time and what we usually bring to start a fire is a fire log and you can usually buy them in any store. Also any citrionella candles will help keep the bugs away. Have fun while camping!! |

Is your tent sealed in case it rains? Otherwise bring a tarp that will cover the top of your tent that you can stake down if it rains. Have some kind of lantern for the night time and trips to the outhouse.... |

Chips, pop, juice, a big water jug, hot dogs and buns, a cooler with lots of ice to keep things cold, granola bars, extra blankets (you never know) extra clothes (for any weather) lawn chairs for sitting around the fire, (a must, trust me you will not want to stand around all night) a book of short, scary ghost stories, a first aid kit with bandaids, etc., flashlights, toilet paper, baby wipes because your hands get dirty, garbage bags for garbage and dirty laundry, matches and lighters, paper plates, cups, cutlery, etc., hair elastics if your hair will get in your face...what can I say, I love camping but I'm not sure of the meaning of "roughing it"! |

You do realise that baby wipes aren't just for your face right, we take them when we go to the field, they are awesome for a quick scrub down if you don't have access to a shower, they are good for messes, they are good after they dry out to be used as toilet paper. etc. |
