Both Srebenica in 95 and Rwanda in 94 were dismal low points for UN Peacekeeping. I think it was partly these failures that enabled the USA to ignore the UN in the run up to the Iraq war in that it made it easy for the US to say 'Look, you did nothing in those two places and look what happened, we're not going to risk that over Iraq.' |

thats very true ash, but i was hoping to leave the Irag incedent outta this. The UN as a group as done many many many amazing things |

True they where the low points, but if you look at the Rwanda incedent there hands where tied. Would Korea be considered a success or failure then? Look what it did to the Korean people, and yet it did help get an affective goverment going |
