Date: 7/14/2004 10:32:00 AM From Authorid: 58611 I really dont know, it sounds to me like severe miagraines. Strong painkillers are the only thing that works for me when I get them. Start looking at your diet/health/nutrition as well. Also try taking a walk daily, it works wonders to relieve stress which is a trigger. Most importantly get in to see a doctor soon. |

Date: 7/14/2004 11:11:00 AM From Authorid: 62766 Well. I am Just like you Ive been having Migrans Since I was very young. we always thought it was from my parents smoking around me. So they started to smoke outside of our home and the migrans Really did go away for the most part. I wasnt having them as much. I pretty much Have a ruitine with my mirgrans They start out in the morning as a regular headache But I always seem to know that it will turn into a migran then by 12:00 its in my eye ball and my eye is half closed then like an hour later My stomache starts to hurt and I usually throw up after I throw up. MY whole entire Head is hurting. when I was younger I would describe it as My head felt like Saturn and there were rings around my head and the rings were Pushing Great amounts of force onto my head. Unfortunatly There IS NOTHING I CAN do to get rid of my migran Usually by night time I am forcing myself to Cry because I feel crying eases the pain alittle bit. Or the pain is just so bad that I AM crying. Within the past couple of months I have really Really found this to work for me and the last couple of times Ive done it Its eased the pain and made me fall alseep sometimes i will wake up and still have a small migran But nothing to what I went asleep to. I know this sounds pathedic But it does work very good for me. I take a wash cloth and fold it up rectangular then I soak it in STEAMING HOT water ring it out EVEN though it burns my hand it has to be steaming HOT then I lay in my bed and put it over my eye that is hurting and on my forehead. Sometimes I have to get up to wet it again because it gets cold fast. but it really does make the pain ease up then I fall asleep. another thing is to get a cup full of hot water and a metal spoon and keep the cup by your bed side, DIP the spoon in the hot water and then place the spoon over your eye. NOT too hot or youll burn yourself. But I find the rag is the best. Believe me I know how it feels Migrans really make you feel like you just wanna jump off of a bridge. I would get more tests done But ive been through them All and they just cant seem to find anything. If you get really bad allergies that could be what its from. also while you have a migrane to ease pain take your index finger and your middle finger and ON the spot where it hurts tap it back and forth with your fingers lightly. it works because its making the spot not so tense, Try these things to ease pain but I would see another doctor. GOODLUCK. |

Date: 7/14/2004 4:13:00 PM From Authorid: 34487 I saw a neurologist a while back and forgot to tell him some things I needed to. So, the only advice I can think of would be to write down all of your symptoms, problems, the severity of them and their frequency. It will make the visit go more smoothly and help prevent you from being misdiagnosed. Good luck. |
Date: 7/14/2004 5:25:00 PM From Authorid: 29928 I agree you need to see a dr. ASAP! I had brain surgery five years ago for an anuerysm and you need to get a CATscan or an MRI...just to rule stuff out and determine exactly what is going on. HUgs, |
Date: 7/14/2004 5:26:00 PM From Authorid: 29928 I didn't say the above to scare you. Even if it came down to brain surgery( which I doubt)...it isn't that bad..the idea of it is 100 times worse than having it. |
