I've always ask permission from my parents. And, oddly enough I never really HAD to ask permission, my parents always let my make my own choices. But, out of respect for my parents I did. It's weird because you hear kids always saying they want to be able to make their own choices and here I was, able to do so, yet always askin permission. |

Whats really funny though, is when my mom came to stay with me a couple summers ago (I was about 26 then) I did all I could to keep her from noticing my tongue ring LOL when she saw it she was just like "ewww Mandy whatever posessed you to do THAT?" and that was the end of that. |

I've done tons of things without my parents permission..... almost all of it, I never got caught. of course, now I am older, and things have gotten cool between myself and my parents so If I told em, they'd be cool about it... lol Strange isn't it? Nope, I always asked permission from my mother. I knew if I didn't that she would find out anyways from experience watching my sister several times getting caught! lmao.. I did it out of respect for mom though. She told me a couple of years ago though, that I really didnt have to that I could have made my own decisions, but she really respected the fact that I asked her first. Either way, I am glad ya love your new piercing and that they arent mad at ya hehe *huge hugs* |

I think every kid has a tale to tell! We have all done it. I lied about a dance I went to. It was at the local boys school and I was afraid if I asked my parents they wouldn't let me go. So I went and stayed the night with a friend who was allowed to go. I wore a beautiful blue disco dress (1979) and a pair of sparkly strappy shoes. I was dancing with a really cute guy when my ankle turned and I fell in front of everyone! I was horribly embarrassed, my ankle was swollen and I couldn't walk on it. The dance supervisors insisted on calling my parents to pick me up! They weren't upset afterall and didn't ground me as I couldn't walk anyhow but they were disappointed that I was afraid to ask them. The silly things we do when we are young. LOL |

Oh...and the smoking. I started smoking when I was 17 and went out of my way to hide it from them. I was 27!!! before I lit one up in front of them. They laughed at me and said they knew cause of my clothes stinking like an ashtray! LOL I felt so foolish! *blushing* |

from the time I was about 10 or 11 years old I was pretty much taking care of myself. My mom and stepdad couldnt care less what me and my siblings did. I never really did to much though even though I could have |

I was living with neither parent at the time and I asked my mom if I could get my bellybutton pierced, she said yes! I asked my dad just in case and he said no. So I got it done. My dad made me get it taken out. But my mom took me back 6 months later and had it redone. Booyah! LOL! |
