Of course, writers should also be responsible with their writing and use of new words if there is a word that means the same thing already in existence. At least that's my opinion. It gets frustrating hearing people saying "irregardless" and "we were conversating" instead of saying "we were conversing". Sorry for the rant, just was something I was thinking about after listening to the radio today. |

I know. I cringe. There is a song on the radio where the rapper says "we conversate longer". It kills me because there will be so many people now who say it, thinking it's a word. |

Oh, Emi. As for unwalked, if you look it up on dictionary.com, there is no word...but I don't think it's such a bad choice. |

www.dictionary.com doesn't seem to think so but if I were to read that word as I just have, I would know it meant roads that haven't yet been travelled upon. |

Hey, it's a story, you can make up words as much as you like. I don't think that is actually a word but it certainly is understood. I'd leave it. |

it's not a word at all. "walked" is a word, and so is "un". However, the word together is not. (dictionary.com). While I'd have to agree that you ARE the author, if you don't have correct grammar, it reflects badly on your book as a whole. I have found myself discarding a book from too much bad grammar or spelling, so you might want to be careful on how far you take your literature freedom. |
