Devil's Eyes *Scooby*

Breathing hard in the ice cold night
Listening to my heart pound in my chest
Keeping my ears open for any sound
Walking to a place I will never know
Frightened as I hear a snap out in the dark
Fleeing down the path
Running fast, faster
Feet pounding on the earth’s crust
But not making a sound
Hearing footsteps behind me
Hearing a scream calling out from the night
Footsteps running faster
As I fly down the path
Going deeper, deeper in the woods
Trees flying by one by one
Fleeing for my life
Hearing branches snapping
From close behind me
I try to run faster
But I’m running out of breath
I start going slower, and slower
But the footsteps behind me go faster
My side starts hurting
And my heart screams out in pain
My lungs are going to explode
If I don’t stop soon
I trip over a fallen log
Then fall to the ground
I try gasping for air
But I can not breathe
I roll onto my back
Looking for the thing
That was following me
I look around
And tried to listen
But all I seen was blackness
And heard the howling wind
But then in the dark night
I see a light shadow
It was coming closer to me
I stared at in fear
And try to crawl away
But it started to move faster
Coming my way
I looked at it closer
Then seen what looked like eyes
I looked deep into it
And then I started to grow faint
My eyes start to close shut
My breathing start to beat slower
My eyes rolled into the back of my head
And then I died
For I have looked deep
In the Devil’s eyes
