NO, NO, No, don't scare the spirit away, not all spirits are evil!! Have you had some pass away that smokes or loved roses? If not it could be a spirit of someone that lived in the house before you. That means it is there house not yours. If the spirit hasn't hurt you yet, it won't so you have nothing to fear. Just leave it be, some spirits have connections with us(humans) and they like us. They won't hurt you unless it is a demon, I don't think it is. There is no such thing as the devil, that is something Christians made up to scare you, don't fear something they tell you to fear. As I said if it hasn't hurt you, it won't. I think you should communicate with it, before you decide. I know I have two spirit in my house, they are really nice and protect me. Does it feel warm or cold in you basement? Depending on the feeling depends on if it is evil. But I don't think it is. Most spirits are spirits that coulden't find they way to the light and got stuck on earth, some are loved ones that are visiting, some are demons but they usually leave you alone. If you are scared just say LEAVE ME ALONE and they will, but you need to find out if it is evil or not and the only way is to communicate with it, If you want to talk msg me, I have had a lot of experience with spirits.  |

If it smells like do-do ... it most likely is. I too will give your home a blessing from here. The more the better. If there is a battle between the good (roses) and evil (do-do), a blessing will not rid your home of the roses, only the evil. Blessed Be. Russel  |

Well she came and blessed the house and nothing has happended. I still see the orbs but not as often. And the only smells coming out of my basement are the incense and grass my Grandma told me to burn. But I'll keep you all informed if anything wierd happens. |

My friend and I used to see orbs all the time. I think that if you burn white sage and ask for your angels to get rid of the bad spirits the good ones will stay Thanx for sharing Ghost-Chick  |
