usually I work out, but since I was in and out of town recently I hadn't been able to find the time to workout. I do a lot of lunges to build lower body strengh, so when I go up the stairs I usually jump a few at a time. but lately I haven't been working out nor stretching at all, and just today I came back from a vacation and I tried jumping the stairs again and now my left knee hurts when I do my lunges. so what exactly should I do?? would it heal itself? do you think I torn a muscle or something?

Date: 7/9/2004 4:06:00 PM  From Authorid: 49091    Its cause u havent been working out for a long time. Its normal. You muscles relaxed and now that u went back to working them, they are gonna naturlaly be sore and hurt. Just take it easy and do a lil then build up to what you were doing *huggs*>>
Date: 7/9/2004 4:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 26363    Bursitis? Liken to tennis elbow but to do with the bursa sac located behind the patella (kneecap). To be treated just like tennis elbow, just left to heal. Although I would still be inclined to check with your doctor.

Cause I let my muscles relax then I started to work them hard and they arent use to it...Im normally sore for about 3 weeks, but thats when we have 2 weeks of nothing but conditioning.
