Hey everyone...I had a cut across my stomach not too long ago and my mom had to shave around the cut so I could clean it up real well and so the medical tape wouldnt stick to my stomach. Well now, just like with ne other hair, its darker and continuses to grow back. Of course its ugly and during the summer I wear a bikini and it looks awful. So I shaved it off. I told my mom that I was sick of it and I didnt want to have to keep doing this, all cause of a dumb cut I got. We were talking aboutn what we could do about it and we came up with plucking, continuse to shave it off, or wax it off. Now shaving it off is outta the question. Plucking...OUCHIES! I have a really sensative stomach. So that leaves Waxing...its kool with me, but which one to use? Hot wax I hears works the best, but what kind is the best to use? My moms friend uses hot wax to do her own eye brows and she has tried many kinds. Some agravated her skin, some didnt work, etc. Which one would you recommend?

Date: 7/8/2004 10:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 59861    you have to test it out on your skin. like, do a very small portion as out of the way as you can get it and give it a day or two to let it react. but i have the same problem. i had this phobea of happy trails and thought i had one. so i shaved it, or what i thought it was, and now i cant stop cuz it's sickening to me. lol; peace n luv

Date: 7/8/2004 11:26:00 PM  From Authorid: 14909    Try nair hair remover. Just a thought.
Date: 7/9/2004 12:53:00 AM  From Authorid: 26452    Just to let you know, I've tried waxing almost every area of my body, and waxing feels the same as plucking, but its like 50 tweezers all plucking at once, not the most pleasent sensation.
Date: 7/9/2004 5:25:00 AM  From Authorid: 10245    I like GiGi's hemp based... you can warm it up in the microwave. It doesn't irritate my skin like some others that I've used. You can get it at Sally's (p.s. a "happy trail" is the little line of hair that sometimes grows downwards from your belly button)
Date: 7/9/2004 5:27:00 AM  From Authorid: 10245    and waxing is only painful the first couple times... after that the hair starts to grow back more fine and it's not so bad. You get used to it.
Date: 7/9/2004 10:11:00 AM  From Authorid: 16845    I agree....once you get use to it waxing really isn't bad at all. I've tried everything on my eyebrows and finally gave up for a long time and just naired it....then went back to plucking...and about two months ago went back to waxing...Mom did it the first time for me and wooooozah! that hurt!....since then i've done it half a dozen times (Because of plucking it grows in waves) and now it really doesn't hurt bad at all....
Date: 7/9/2004 12:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 1799    brace yourself for that first time.. that's the one that will shock you..lol. as for what type.. i dunno.. i just go to a salon to get my eyebrows down... follow Becky's advice.. she's smart about all of this stuff..lol.
Date: 7/9/2004 1:42:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 49091    I get my eye brows done and thats enough for me. The only part I dont like is the bottom, by my eye, thats WOWZAAAAAAA LOL I think I rather do waxing then plucking. Cause thats one pain at a time, I rather have 50 at one time then one LOL I know, what a freak! LOL Thanx everyone
Date: 7/9/2004 1:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 56630    Sweet, im gonna come back with like no eyebrows, ROCK ON!!lmao!
Date: 7/9/2004 4:52:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 49091    Nahh, you'll have eye brows...very nicely shaped eye brows :-D :-D
Date: 7/9/2004 7:05:00 PM  From Authorid: 19460    I bought some wax called Brazilian Surgi-Wax. Its intended for "personal" waxing, but they make other kinds than the Brazilian kind. You heat it in the microwave and when it cools, spread it on, wait 15 seconds and snatch it off. Its about like pulling a bandaid and there are none of those nasty strips to use. Plus its really cheap... I paid about 4 dollars for mine.
Date: 7/9/2004 8:17:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 49091    Awesome Froggy!! Thanxies!! *huggs*
