First off congrats! ... don't be nervous, you'll do great! For two years I have been taken 12 credits over 5 days a week...it was hard at first but I got used to it. Freshman English was good, most english classes where I go require research papers and essays throughout the course, government sounds interesting and so does humanities, I am not too sure about Teaching Diverse Populations but it sounds like a good course and microcomputers should be a cool class... I haven't taken any computer classes yet, but tons of english classes so if you need any help in english, let me know! good luck! |

Things that I learned from my first semester: take advantage of the learning resources that the college offers it's students. If there is an undergraduate writing center (there usually is) take your first essay in there to have it reviewed. If you are in a class that offers study groups, be sure to attend. Writing a college essay is different from high school. Professors want to see specific examples. Pay attention to the examples that your professors use in class and take notes of them. Memorize them so you can bring them up on the test. Above all, have faith in yourself. You'll do fine! |

I AM SO HAPPY THAT YOU DID THIS! So happy I had to use the ol' caps. School's last semester of me being on campus will be August thru December, I'm so happy you made this decision! My best advice is just pace yourself. If you get a deadline that is say 2 weeks from now, DO NOT wait until then, do a little increment at a time |
