After the weekly mass the priest had locked the doors and was ready to go home. When he left the church he saw that all of the churchgoers were still lingering in front of the church.
"What's going on?" the priest asked the crowd. "Why are you still here?"
A man replied:"We were told that in a minute or so a naked lady on a horse will ride by!"
"Oh" said the priest, "then I will stay too: I haven't seen a horse in a long time."

TRIVIA BYTE OF THE DAY:
Prolific screenwriter and director Steven de Souza ran into a language problem when filming his first film in the 1990's. He was attempting to turn the popular video game "Street Fighter" into a movie with Jean-Claude Van Damme in Thailand. The film had countless scenes with hundreds of extras, many who were students and international tourists from more than a half-dozen countries. They all spoke different languages, from Dutch to Japanese. De Souza explained how they ultimately sped up the slow translation process while filming: "Finally we decided to direct them with numbered flashcards. One meant you were happy, 2 meant you were sad, and 3 meant get in your boat."

FACT OF THE DAY:
Pine, spruce, or other evergreen wood should never be used for barbequeing. These woods, when burning or smoking, can add harmful tar and resins to the food. Only hardwoods should be used for smoking and grilling, such as oak, pecan, hickory, maple, cherry, alder, apple, or mesquite, depending on the type of meat being cooked.

DID YOU KNOW?:
Do You Know? What "radar" stands for.
The Answer Is: "Radar" comes from "radio detection and ranging." Like sonar, radar can be used to locate distant objects and gauge their distance, speed, height, and direction of motion. Radar uses radio waves in much the same way that active sonar uses sound. A transmitter puts out a signal and a receiver listens for the waves that are reflected back from the object. Those signals are then translated and displayed.
