most people are vague and word their questions to seem like answers or like a middle man... that is how most of them make their money and fool people, if i ever went to one i would want them to describe to me what they look like then i would definately know if they were full of crap or not... |

I have never read any of her books, Misty Spirit, so I can't comment on that. BigD, a friend hired a woman to tell my fortune on my B-day, and I just sat there with my poker face on. To the point where she actually told me that I had to "help her out" or she wouldn't be able to tell me anything! It was entertaining, though. |

I saw her on Montel about 2 days ago, and I sat and wondered how many things she has told people, like about their missing loved ones, came true. I believe there are people who can see more than we can, but until I see results on things that are said, I find it hard to believe them. |

I like seeing Sylvia on Montel. My husband gets sooo mad at me for watching her LOL He lost his keys one day and he was all mad and ranting and raving asking everyone if they had seen his keys and he finally, very sarcastically, said "Good Lord someone call Sylvia I bet she knows where they are!!!" LOL It was hilarious! But back to the point, it would help me believe in her more if she had update shows so we could see what was true and waht wasnt. And I dont mean some person saying Oh yes, Sylvia helped me find my son... I want to see a clip of her telling someone something, and then like news footage showing that she was right... know what i mean? |

I don't know about Sylvia Brown, never seen her but I did hear once that what the John Edwards (Crossing Over) guy does is just read the minds of his audience members not really connecting with the dead relatives...I don't know if this is really true or not though, I just heard it. |

John Edwards is full of crap. He was trained at a school here in Sarasota, Florida. He may have learned HOW to contact the spirit world, but he uses deceptive means now. A true psychic will tell you when they are getting "nothing". And, trust me, it does happen. |

Actually, I have to disagree. She is from what I've seen, one of the most credible psychics around. I've seen many of her documentaries and have read one of her books. She used to help solve murders and had much success in doing so. |

I must add though, that I do have a problem with psychics profiting from "their gift" to the extent that Sylvia has. A gift shouldn't be abused. |

people who get paid to be psychics (like Sylvia Brown) are usually full of it... you'll find the true ones don't ask for money (such as Sur5r and Predictor from USM)... Sylvia Brown is just scamming them.. |

I haven't seen her in action... and don't really need to. It's difficult to judge... it's a subjective gift and some people are more gifted than others... and even then they have off days. If we learned to meditate we wouldn't use psychics. Psychics, more than mediums, use cold reading techniques. I never go to them... I use my own intuition. |

As an afterthought... some say that people shouldn't abuse their gifts. Does that mean that pianists, artists, and the like shouldn't charge either. I play the flute... I don't ask for money so I'm not abusing my gift. |

Ooops! Sorry Lady Luck and Gail! Maybe I should just stick to the authorid! I have to say, I do believe there are genuine psychics out there; I have asked for psychic advice on this site in the past (the most recent a year ago) and the predictions came true. It just seems that any supposed psychic who profits from his or her gift doesn't really have a gift. |

Koolade, when I said "abuse" I mean in the aspect of exploiting it or using it mainly for profit. I agree that many use their talents to make a living but because the gift of prophecy is rare and is therefore given very selectively, a person awarded this has even more responsibility in using it for unselfish means. Just my opinion though. |

I believe she is gifted..and she uses that gift to make a living. I heard that an hour long session with her costs around 800 dollars. I cant say if she is a fraud or not because all i know is what ive seen on TV..she seems very real to me, I would love to have a session with her..80) |

I am iffy about her. She has made some predictions which have come true. But her predictions 100 years into the future are crazy. I am an open minded person though, so she could have a true gift I think. But she is a little greedy, she charges a lot for readings. I think it could be more about the money than the gift to her. |
