Arizona is No. 1, followed by California, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas, according to the weather service, which monitors about 265 weather stations nationwide.

Date: 6/26/2004 6:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 27741    In Australia, Queensland I think is called The Sunshine State, becuase of all the beautiful beaches and coral reefs and tropical rainforests. But Western Australia in fact receives more hours of daylight and is the sunniest state! Oh well.
