The wind picked up, the air chilled. Two bodies lay on the ground beneath the swings. You may have thought the story ended here, but that is far from the truth. The wind brought with it the feared Dark Carnival, the band of spirits traveling thorughout our lives to help humanity. As we die they come to take us to our place, either Shangri-La or Hell's Pit. Or, if you're one of the few who speak of them and work with them, you may join their ranks, traveling to collect the souls.
Now back to their story... Both of them had always listened to the Dark Carnival's messages, they heeded their warnings and listened to the warnings of the Insane Clown Posse. They had started long ago following these beliefs, Satanism was their door. With an open mind one can accept the truth, no matter how strange. Father Satan smiled upon them as he saw the Carnival travelling to get their souls. Lilith and Shax had left with the carnival this time, otherwise they'd be there with him.
The wind grew stronger as the Dark Carnival come to a stop. His sould and her soul gathered themselves from their places, walking onto the cart in front of them. The Ringmaster, the leader of the Dark Carnival train, started the line again. As the last cart passed the two bodies, a haunted wind came and turned their mortal bodies into dust.
The driver of their cart told them their fate. The driver said they would pay a short visit to Hell's Pit to see Father Satan, then they would come back to the cart and find their true fate. The Carnival stopped again at Hell's Pit, and Father Satan came to their cart to greet them. He had them meet the Great Milenko and especially Jake and Jack Jeckel. They met the Ringmaster and the Riddlebox.
Lastly they watched the Wraith tell each evil spirit to get out her and enter Hell's Pit. They watched the drivers laugh at them menacingly, and then Father allowed them to go back to their cart. He moved to greet his new batch of misguided Christians and Satanists. Then the Wraith appeared at their cart. The Wraith conjured up one cart and instructed them to join in the line and drive it together.
From that stop on they drove their cart, praising Satanists and laughing at those going to Shangri-La. Lilith and Shax would join them sometimes, checking on the souls they gaurded for so long. As ironic as it seems, the afterlife appears more enticing than it is. They had more fun laughing at mortals than laughing at souls. But then, in desperation, everything seems more enticing than it truly is.
so that's the end... how did you all like it? leave me a comment on it... and i'll be putting up my new story as soon as i get some written.
