After 4 years, It's over. And nothing really changes. -KaLahn-

It was the last day of classes today, which means for me that Highschool is now over. I feel as if something profound should be said, something big should happen to commemorate this occasion for all of us graduates, but alas nothing of the sort has really happened, in fact, the ending is quite anticlimatic.

Growing up there has always been so so much emphasis put on highschool, as if it was the most important thing. Now it's over and that's all there is to it.

I've always looked forward to this day, [HA] I looked forward to not going to school so much that I even dropped out of school for a semester, and I almost dropped out again last semester, however I still managed to graduate on time, and I feel accomplished, but also...not so much.

I guess the weirdest part is going to be the move in August, leaving my home, and my friends. Oh well.

THE END.

Date: 6/15/2004 6:00:00 PM  From Authorid: 33925    You just finished your High School years hon..Now its time to go out into the world and live your life as an ADULT..trust me THAT is a life changing experience all in itself..High School is the end of a carefree, responsible free era..Its now time to grow up and move into the big bad world..whether you are ready for it or not.
Date: 6/15/2004 6:05:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 51649    Oh, no, I'm more than ready for it, and I'm darn excited for university, but the highschool years revolved around so many issues concerning me and my friends, and now I won't see more than half of those I used to walk the halls with ever again.
Date: 6/15/2004 6:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 38256    I'm experiancing the same thing right now only a little ahead. I just had my graduation last night and i didn't really feel it until they started playing 'pomp and circumstance' and then again when i walked across the stage to get my diploma. But then again it also felt so surreal like it was someone else's life. My last day of school was more signifigant because we always have a huge shaving cream fight for the seniors and that was a BLAST! I'm sure it'll hit you eventually.
Date: 6/15/2004 6:15:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 51649    Haha, you had a shaving cream fight! Sweet. I wish our highschool organized something good for the seniors, but nope...meh. Haha.. oh well. GO GRADS
Date: 6/15/2004 6:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 25756    Next year is my senior....I'm kind of sad actually. While I haven't actually had a whole lot of really good friends...in fact only about 1 or 2...it's just going to be sad for me becuse I'm going to miss all the people I've grown up with. Let me rephrase that - the people I've loved to watch each year. Yes watch. I don't know, I just love watching people...especially class clowns and "popular" people. They're so much fun to watch. Lol! Anyway, good luck there with college or whatever you have planned for the future. :-D
Date: 6/15/2004 6:55:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 51649    Thanks, yes senior year is one that is sad and exciting to leave.
Date: 6/15/2004 7:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 57232    Where are you going to college?
Date: 6/15/2004 9:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 62100    LOL- things change- you just don't feel it right away because there's still so much going on. It never really hit me till after I started college the first time. Now what hits me is that it has been 14 years since I graduated high school...YIKES!!
Date: 6/15/2004 10:13:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 51649    B.Monkey,I'm going to University of Lethbridge for my Bachelors of the Arts and Sciences, and Xylanthia, I know I've been thinking about how qickly the past (almost) 18 years of my life has flew by, the next thing I know I'll be a grandparent, yikes! haha.
Date: 6/15/2004 11:26:00 PM  From Authorid: 53558    Well all have to move in different directions. Have a great time at University...hugs....
Date: 6/16/2004 1:13:00 AM  From Authorid: 11348    When I graduated I just remember being so excited, but so sad at the same time. My sister graduated this year also, and it seemed pretty anticlimatic for her also. She didnt seem excited or anything, just continued with business as usual! Anyway, congratulations. Good luck with the rest of your life.
Date: 6/16/2004 9:10:00 AM  From Authorid: 53284    This isn't an 'end' but rather it is a beginning. Now, ready or not, you have the oppertunity to make of your life what you want. Have fun. Bob
Date: 6/17/2004 11:25:00 AM  From Authorid: 30786    I felt similarly when I graduated. It seemed in all the books and movies and TV shows that high school was the best years of your life and that so many fun things would happen, etc. I've been gradded for about two and half years now (I also took a semester off) and I've had more fun since graduating and being in college than I ever had in high school. My life felt like it really began after I gradutated. There are better things to look forward to! Trust me on that one!
