Is anyone here in the field of forensics?

I was just wondering if anyone at this site is in the field of forensics (taking it in college, actually works as a scientist or investigator or anything like that). If so what college did you go to/are you going to, do you like your career, can you tell about what you have done, etc.

I am interested in becoming a forensic scientist or something dealing with forensics. I love that kind of stuff and I would want to help out in crimes. Yes you may think 14 is a little young to want to do something like that but I have been interested in this for years. I have a book on forensics that explains the different branches of it what you do in each requirements for them, colleges/universities that have forensics courses offered, etc. I love the book!!

Thanks for your help, *hugs* Ash

That's basically the foundation of the job. After getting your bachelors then you go onto a masters in criminalistics. That's the way it works at a lot of the schools here in cali. I wanted to go into the field myself, but I started taking chem and I realized I hated it with a passion so I may be changing my major pretty soon, lol. Yeah you're a little young to be thinking about a career but it really doesn't hurt to look into different ones. Best of luck to you :-)

I know that you must major in Biology and Chemistry. It's very interesting. You can go to google.com and look up forensics and colleges that offer courses in forensics! Good luck to you and never give up on your dream! Love,

I did abit of forensics...bit of balistics. It involves alot of fortitude and courage. I was only in it for a bit...I was in a lab at the time 911 happened...they were so short handed at that time...they were asking for people right and left...I fell on that list...I didnt want to go to NY!...To see all that pain!...I got transfered to a doctors office...it was like a punishment...Because I loved my job so much there where I was!...Oh don`t get me wrong...Being a Lab Tech is cool! Never give up on your dreams!...Good luck on your hopes!
