What if he's acquitted?

It seems to be accepted that Saddam Hussain will be out in trial at some point, but has anyone thought of what the implications are if he were to be acquitted at the end of it? Sure, we all say 'Course he's guilty, he gassed the Kurds, he killed his own people etc', but supposing there's nothing with his signature ordering these crimes? Or if the people he verbally instructed to do his work are either dead or not talking? Does anyone know what any acquittal would mean for the allies?

Date: 6/15/2004 4:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 62383    I still think it wasnt our business, and it was a bad choice to go there in the first place. I think we killed enough of them allready, and enough of us have died or the "lie" If he got let off or put back in power by some means, well thats just what is meant to be. and it shows us how wrong we were to go there.
Got Mike?
