keep sending in the applications. One thing I've learned in the job world is that persistance is the most valuable attribute-- if you keep trying, eventually you'll get what you want. I notice you're in college. Is having a paying job absolutely important? 'cause I have one serious recommendation to anyone who's in undergrad: do an internship! If not this summer, then sometime during the semester, or next summer. It is the most valuable work experience you can get, because it will be in your field doing something professional and it will get you excellent references and many people that I know who have done internships for a company end up getting employed there. My boyfriend, for instance, had a job straight out of college because of it. I didn't do one, and I majorily regret it. After graduation, even with some work experience, it was very hard for me to get my foot in the door any place that had professional potential.  |

yeah, it sucks. i remember when i was job hunting .... though i was already working, i wasnt in the industry that i wanted to be in. I applied for sooooooo many jobs and got soooooo many knock backs. i know what you are going through, its very depressing and hits your self esteem levels pretty bad. but dont worry, you will get one, it'll just take time. i'll keep my fingers crossed for you  |
