my first reaction was he was drunk or on drugs....but if he was walking down the middle of a two lane highway or street or whathaveyou...I probably would have called the cops....they could have removed him.....since being on the road like that is a dangerous situation...but as for stopping....nope wouldn't have done it |

I would have called anyway. He could have been drunk. Walking down the middle of a two lane road? He's a danger to himself and to other drivers. Kimberley |

it was about maybe two inches in diameter...like a crobar size and silver cause when our lights hit it it reflected the light...so I am thinking a metal bar or club of some sort. It was not like a baseball bat or anything that large but yea now that I think about it kinda like a crobar |

You could have called the police and reported it, but it is doubtful that they would even check it out since he was not on private property. I had a similar incident happen to me, although with my incident, their intentions were quite clear. We were driving to my in-laws house one night and there was a pickup truck driving past us in the opposite direction. It had about a dozen people in the back of it who were all brandishing a club, baseball bat, or a pipe (they all clearly had weapons). They were shouting, "gonna kill some crabs" ('crabs' is gang slang for 'crips'). When we got to my in-laws I called the police and gave them a location, direction, and description of the vehicle. They (the police) told me that there was nothing they could do about it until they "actually" commit a crime. I asked them if they were going to at least check it out to try to prevent them from "actually" committing a crime, and they told me that they would check it out AFTER they got a report of a crime being committed....... Needless to say, I protect my OWN family and property, because the police (at least here) won't come until all of the smoke has cleared..... |

Yeah, I think by law they HAVE to check out any complaints that are called in. I would have called the cops...#1 if he was drunk, that's a PI..they would have picked him up. It would have been best for this man's safety. Something could have been medically wrong with the guy. #2 Um yeah, walking down the middle of the street with a club in hand constitutes something peculiar...if your senses tell you something is not right, then more than likely those feelings are dead on....I usually listen to those feelings, they have never been wrong. I'm not sure what I would have done, something similar happened to my boyfriend, he was driving home after dropping me off, it was about 10:00, and tehre was a guy in a leather jacket walking in the middle of the road, he swerved to avoid him, and the guy just made this huge, creepy grin. |
