Yeah...agreed...but then again the original Japanese "theatrical" movies were grossly different from the original novels...very grossly different.  |

I think the american version did the part where their heart stopped well with the flashes and stuff. and when people found the bodys the bodys looked frozen the japanes version just had the screen change coulor when their heart beat stopped and their bodys just had their mouths eyes wide open. but the japaneas version did have a more intringing plot. I noticed the 2 movies are identicall up untill the boat bit where she is on it when you see their is no hourse jumping into the sea that is when you see how different these 2 movies really are.  |

True...but do remember when they made the original they didn't exactly have the money to go the American way...it was a low budget film. Hence why it made it so big.  |

Agreed...the tv scene in the original was much more effective cause it didn't use high-tech digital effects and they went practical which made it seem much more realer.  |
