I've been there on the friends thing. Do you really want friends? If so seriously best way is to get out and meet people with similiar interests (i.e. the band, local guitar shop, so forth.) 2) why fight that? Okay they bug you at least their bein supportive  . i dont know why i fight it. maybe cause it's every five seconds he asks if i'm ok and he's so worried about it. i'm just tired of being asked if i'm ok when i'm not but there's nothing anyone can do about it.  |

My father once told me that the best way to make friends is to be one to somebody.Kinda lame I know but it got me to thinking about it.Kick some serious butt with that guitar girlfriend...btw...I would love to be ur friend.  |

I live in a small town and I don't have any friends here. The friends I do have live in the city or in another state. So I don't get to see them that much. But I've always been told to get involved with things, such as a hobby where you can meet other people with the same interest. Or get a job. Just put yourself out there and you'll meet someone.  |

Well I recently fixed my troubles with the friend thing. Im shy as heck, I hate your average teen (yeah Im aware of my age), and I wanted ya know some friends. Well I just took my interests and made them new years resolutions. Like I said join a club/group/activity whatever. Me being Wiccan church was out and a lot of the umm so called *Wiccans* up here are well yeah not good people (theres not many up here to begin with  .) So I found a Unitarian church and met up with some VERY nice people my age. This blended over to my love of music because they go to karaoke every Saturday and last Saturday I was finally able to go and I met up with a whole new group of non church people and they are so sweet and nice! Lol in fact Im havin a 3 day girls night in tomorrow . It may be hard but try and get out there, find something that interests you even mildly and find people attached to it it'll help break the ice. |

yeah, thanks guys ....maybe i'll ask my guitar teacher if he knows anyone my age i could play guitar iwth? i dunno.....i will hopefully eventually start a band |

If you dont work, get a job... thats a very fast way to make friends I was never forced to play guitar but i was forced to play sax. But guitar i would sometimes play for hours or all day.. then some days 10 minutes. Ive been playing for 9 years and it does give you something to let stuff out with. Keep playin! oh and if u have any guitar questions or how to write songs or anything with that you can message me anytime and ill tell yah what i know

cool, i have no intentions of stopping playing guitar, i like to play, i do't like to be forced to do it though.....i don't think they are trying to force me as much as just encourage me, which is also a very goodthing to have. i just get in moods where i get really irrate lol. i don't know why..... |
