*******************************************************

The old book was dusty and worn from much use.
Its cover was tattered and the binding was loose.

I had half a mind just to throw it away.
But a small voice inside said "You'll need me someday."

I sat by a window and opened the book.
Not really curios, just having a look.

The book was my fathers, his favorite it seemed.
To live up to it's teachings was always his dream.

It opened to Matthew and the scripture I read,
Caught me off guard because here's what it said:

"This is My beloved son, in whom I am well pleased."
It was a message from father, this much I believe.

His hand brushed my shoulder with the gentlest of touch.
I cried when I felt it,I miss him so much.

I'm keeping the "Good Book" and the memories we had.
Because I know God's in Heaven and so is my Dad.

**********************************************************

Dedicated to the memory of my Father,Joe Daly Daniel
Thanks for teaching me to be a man like you were.

Date: 12/21/2004 10:44:00 AM  From Authorid: 62613    Hey brother this was beautiful. Just remember what you told daddy when you told him where to find true happiness and find it again. He always told the story of how he was proud for you to be his son and how you forgot how to practice what you used to preach. To really make him happy you need to return to where you got him to search and proved to him beyond a shadow of a doubt what the truth was.He would only do what you said and he was proud til you left.SO PLEASE RETURN TO WHAT YOU PROVED TRUE OVER 30 YEARS AGO!!!!!!!
