Minor Computer Question

I use my desktop icon a lot. It's located on the windows toolbar and I use it to switch from what I'm doing to the desktop as need be. All of a sudden, it stopped working. Instead of taking me back to the desktop, it opens the desktop properties. I have no idea what happened. This happened before and I had to use goback to fix it. I am trying to avoid doing that this time because I've got too many projects going that I'm not in the mood to save right now. Plus I'm hosting a game server and I don't want to kick people off. Does anyone know how I can make it work again? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks, Apryl

Maybe you should try to reason with your computer instead of just giving it commands all the time. Perhaps a counseling session is in order. Take your computer out to lunch... anything. Find a way to make some quality time so you can find an opportunity to let your computer know that eventhough you don't appreciate the way it's behaving, you still want to work things out.

All that is happening is that its target on its properties is different. You can even right click it and look under properties and see what it says. If it happens often, I would look into virus's too.
Got Mike?

Date: 6/13/2004 9:31:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 36901    Thanks for the suggestions. I knew you could hit something and 'd' to make it work, but I was trying shift, ctrl&alt etc.... The windows button and 'd' worked like a charm. I had to reboot 5 times, but now the desktop button works again. Also, I did check for viruses and didn't find any. Thanks again everyone!
