Come share your memories of Frank...

In Wicca when someone passes it is seen as a happy event in the sense that now they have gone back to the spiritual world but sad at the same time for they are no longer with us in this incarnation. Many religions have similiar beliefs and so I thought it only fitting to make a post dedicated to Frank's memory. What better way to honor his life then to remember why we loved him so? He touched so many people in so many ways and I would love to hear all the stories people have to share about him.

I seen Frank around and found his posts and comments amusing but never really spoke much to him. Once long ago I made a singing comment post and though he tried in good humor to dissuade me from that path he also tried to give an honest opinion which is something most people wont and dont do. Man I don't remember how long ago that was but it must have been early 2003 or 2002. *Anyways* we had a long talk through PM's and after that Frank always sent me links to inspirational posts and posts about entertainment. I don't know if I changed his mind but I sure hope he'd be proud of where I've gotten myself today. I can remember at least 3 different posts he sent me just to be kind and I always thanked him for that.

I've seen USMers come and go and it was always sad to me. I can think of about 3 who have passed on and had huge impacts on this site, and though I was saddened I dont think I'd ever spoken to them. After Frank's banning life kind of went on until I seen Starla's posts that he was ill. I worried and of the few I saw I sent my well wishes. He was so young and to me its so sad that he passed on. I found myself on the first day just randomly all day thinking about it and now a few days later I havent stopped.

Frank touched so many lives and its a shame he didnt get a chance to touch more. At least we have the precious memories we do. So come and share :) and remember the good times...

Date: 6/13/2004 5:05:00 AM  From Authorid: 62136    This is an awesome post! My memories of Frank, well, seeing how I have only been here for just over a year-I didint know him too well. Frank would give me advice on how to maybe reword my stories. He was good for that eh? And when I would comment on his humor(which I LOVED!), he would quip something back again and it never failed, but he would someone confuse the heck out of me and I would forget what I was originally takling to him about lmao! The last thing I remember before Frank was banned, I remember either myself or someone here on USM doing a post on bee's. I made a comment about how deathly afraid of bee's, I am, Frank sent me a PM with a link to one of his stories...well, i just tried to find it but had no luck. He attempted to creep me out more by this story he wrote, about bee's. lol, thanks Frank. I cant wait to read what everyone else has to say.
Date: 6/13/2004 6:03:00 AM  From Authorid: 62136    If my memory serves me correctly, I believe the story I was referring to was called, "The Hive". Bee's...<shiver> lol
Date: 6/13/2004 6:22:00 AM  From Authorid: 36901    Great post. My fondest memory is how I laughed upon receiving his book back (after asking him to sign it) and reading what he wrote. Not only was he a talent writer, but he could also be so very funny. I can't even pick that book up right now. (
Date: 6/13/2004 6:23:00 AM  From Authorid: 36901    Also chatting on AOL late at night when neither of us could sleep. I could go on forever, but I'll give someone else a turn.
Date: 6/13/2004 6:35:00 AM  From Authorid: 5061    yes, frank was a published writer, strange it didn't mention that in his obitary,
Date: 6/13/2004 7:03:00 AM  From Authorid: 18527    I always wanted a signed copy of the book but I could never afford it... sigh
Date: 6/13/2004 8:09:00 AM  From Authorid: 5061    With frank having soooooooooo, many friends how come friends were not being received at his funeral, nor flowers,he was a noted writer for usm,as well as a published wtiter.were friends invited invation only?
Date: 6/13/2004 8:52:00 AM  From Authorid: 1799    there are so many i could say. i keep going back to a post though about what we would choose as a last dinner.. him and i were talking about Chinese food, and i said i'd go order some, and he told me what to get.... makes me smile looking at it.
Date: 6/13/2004 12:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 3125    Frank said the following a little over one year ago.."Date: 6/17/2003 6:40:00 AM ( From Authorid: 47699 ) I have something to say to all of you, now. The minute I can no longer make you laugh, you'll know that I'm dead. That is the real test so forget about pulses and all of the rest of it. Is he registering at all on the humor-meter? Okay, pull the plug. This turkey's done." With Frank's great love for mysteries, it only seems natural that he would leave us with a mystery in the end.
Date: 6/13/2004 12:29:00 PM  From Authorid: 24732    I remember his sense of humor and that he wanted to send peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to Regis Philbin LOL. He always tried to make people laugh
Date: 6/13/2004 12:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 30575    Alien Life Form, I remember that so well What I remember best, is his stories about being in jail. Those stories touched me, and I talked some with him about it back then. He is missed....
Date: 6/13/2004 8:24:00 PM  From Authorid: 54570    I remember the peanut butter sandwich ordeal. Where he was gonna send some to Regis Philburn. I also remeber the time me and him did a post on SK8R and we had her mad as a hatter. SO many memories to choose from but I at least have mine.
