The Rising Setting Sun

a flaming orange mirage
the sun rises in the East
bleeding in pale heavens
a mighty charging beast

raging against the palor
the flames beat red
blazing before the conquest
of sky lifeless dead

to bear boastful flowers
the green sprawls from birth
little do they know
all petals fall to Earth

all petals fall to Earth
in a milky shower
they seep into the bosom
kindling returned power

heaving earned gasps
of tasteless blue air
the sun collapses
into the bluing bare

a dimming blue memory
the sun sets in the West
bleeding out pale heavens
a lovely needed rest
