for Confirmation we get a verse then we have to answer some questions about it. well my verse is Isaiah 40:31

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

and the question that I need help on is

How does this verse remind you of Jesus and what He did to earn your salvation by His death on the cross?

I don't understand what this question means and I would ask my Pastor for help but I have to type it out today because I'm getting confirmed tomorrow!!

thanx for your help!

Date: 6/4/2004 10:48:00 AM  From Authorid: 36704    I would say that Jesus was able to endure and keep going through his faith in God. That same faith that kept Jesus going and allowed him to accomplish the things he did, can be found in anyone who believes in God and allows his strength to carry them. Faith in God can carry people through difficult times and let them endure and not grow weak just as it did for Jesus. Jesus endured a lot of suffering but it was his faith that carried him through.

Date: 6/4/2004 1:06:00 PM  From Authorid: 30527    Jesus Christ renewed all people by dying on the cross. It is trhrough His blood that we all can live, not a worldly life, but a spiritual life in Christ. Once renewed or born again, we are no longer weary, as are those of worldly things, for we are born again by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We run in His strength, for without Jesus as our Lord, we have no strength. We the Christians can walk in Christ, by His Salvation, without being faint or tired. Those who do not know the Lord as thier personnal Savior thrash about to & fro, with no direction. Living carelessly as if tommorrow will always come. Christians understand that life is only for a moment, and that to live eternally is the ultimate end. By patterning our life after the life of Jesus Christ, we charge towards our end. Preparing ourselves for a life with the Lord Jesus Christ. It was Jesus Christ who not only showed us how to live or walk upright, it was also Jesus Christ who made life for us possible. Good Luck.
