This is a poem I wrote for myself, since I am leaving for the navy in 32 days :D I am going be the best nurse practioner you'll ever know!!!
Tonight the silence is a comfort, to let me shed
Some thoughts,
Thoughts of memories, visions, sorrow, happiness, forgiveness,
All that was lost
At the age of innocence, where the line of my mind,
Extends to my adulthood.
I have grown up, been able to stay proud, stay strong, and striving,
I reflect life and it’s mistakes, and it’s beginnings, I see it all.
I am dedicated to my family and friends,
Staying sane for myself.
Because I value myself, and life to all ends,
There is no replacing my heart and I won’t stop giving it out.
That’s just who I am, perfect with my flaws, hopes, dreams.
When I wake up knowing that I made a difference
It is the greatest feeling that can ever emerge.
I will be satisfied, knowing that I am good enough,
And that I deserve the world.
