Yesterday...

Before computers,before the telephone,before the automobile, People became friends.It required much work to find a friend. A person had to leave the house and actually meet other people face to face.Barbaric wasn't it?Imagine riding a horse to see your girlfriend.Imagine a 10 mile trek would take most of the day.Just imagine.Music was only found in either church or a dancehall,or in your parlor if you had one of those with a piano in it.We've all seen the movies about how it was before the industrial revolution,so let's take a look at interfacing with someone today



Today... Now we only have to log onto MSN or AOL or any of the messenger services available to us today to talk to anyone in the world. We talk to others who match our profile and share our interrest immediately.And we do all this without ever leaving our chair. Marriages wrought from online dating are commonplace now.Soon all of our jobs will be online,our entertainment will be online, We will visit our loved ones online.Everything the life revolves around will be online.So? What does that tell us about the future?

Tomorrow... In the world of tomorrow,the harddrive will be so small it will fit anywhere....(where do you want to put it?)under our skin,just below our shoulder blade for comfort.Fibrous wires can carry data from the C drive directly to our brain.The keyboard will be in our fingertips(each digit will hold numeric sencors)Just use your left thumb for a joystick.Oh my!The monitor will be truly amazing.About the size of a contact lense(implanted perminently to our retna). With the touch of a sencor we will switch from reality to total virtual reality.(USM will be universal then) Thoughts and emotions will have their own ports(located just below the right ear)Memories will be removable or substituted.Eating and exercise will be a thing of the past,thanks to the DNA patch we will have to replace all that bothersome activities.(no more dieting)We're 86% water so we still have to drink fluids.(thank God for the new catheters, bathrooms were always so messy)Reproduction?Perfect clones if you care for them,otherwise doctors can replicate your DNA with that of your spouses without the usual problematic cohabitating.If you love someone in a foreign land and wish to interface with them for a contracted period,you may do so via the virtual wedding you two will enjoy.Ok...the two of you can have a virtual honeymoon if you insist.The most important thing in the future will be a comfortable chair.A must by all means.
