I have a port for the same reason. It was surgically implanted in the left side of my chest below the shoulder. It was orginally put in for infusing heart medication, but now I use it for blood draws and IV's when I am in the hospital. It sure makes things a lot easier. My veins tend to hide. My thoughts are with this girl everyday. I am so concerned about her. Please give her my love Leana and let her know that I will keep her in my prayers and that her name is continually on the Temple Prayer Roll. I found out what they are calling it, Pyriel is right. But they also call it a Pick Line. I talked to her today she seems to be doing ok, just a lil depressed and down, which the Nurse said is normal with this kind of Procedure. *hugs*  |

I remember now Leana, they did call it a pick line..but it didnt go into her heart, it was from the middle of her arm, up to the shoulder, and across from it, inside...ohhhhhhh makes me shudder to think of it!!!...hugs |
