Wow. Awesome movie. Not just a movie, it was a work of art. Put together beautifully, several styles of action and movie genres, music fitting perfectly with the scenes even if it's out of place. Just a great all around movie.
Kill Bill is the 4th film by Quentan Terantino. His early works include Pulp Fiction and Resevoir Dogs. I haven't seen all of those but plan to soon. But back to subject. Terantino is an excellent director. As I said his films aren't just mere films, there cinemagraphic art. Kill Bill itself is about a former assassin(Uma Thurman)who got betrayed by her friends and is out to get revenge. Here soul purpose in both the films is to, as the title clearly says, kill Bill. You never actualy see Bill in the first movie but he appears in the second.
Kill Bill vol.1 goes backwards. You see and event that happens later than the end of the movie. It's basically Uma getting back on her feet and getting revenge. Extremely violent and unnessecarily bloody revenge. There is excellent karate and sword(katana) fighting. The whole movie centers around one person she is trying to find and kill and all the people she has to kill to get to her. There is a lot of killing in this movie. It's action/comedy/kungfu/western/whatever Quentan wanted. He tried to incorperate all the classic styles of action movies into his first real action movie. And he does. He has the basic "seek and destroy" action, the western, and the kung fu all mixed together with revenge. That's basically all I can say about Kill Bill without ruining it's sweetness.
It's rated R for EXTREME violence and some harsh language. But I recommend it to anyone who is old enough or alous to see it.
