I'm fighting an inner eternal battle
Held in the depths of my soul
Where I'm held prisoner, and with little control

Chains upon my wings of freedom
Tears, blurring my vision
The silence numbing my spirit

I am left in a cold and dark place
Where light just cannot break through
And the words you speak seem so hopeless,
For a person,
Like me

I'm fighting an inner eternal battle
My strength is being tested
And the ones I've come to love the most
Are missing,
I feel so alone in this empty chamber
I cannot see past all this negativity
I am not used to this

Lies, deception, betrayal
Have shattered my faith in most people
I'd reach out, only
There is no one to trust, well maybe one

I'm fighting an inner eternal battle
That I'm afraid to lose

Please, God in the Heavens above
I place the last remaining pieces of faith
In your Hands;
Send down your angels
Lift me from this persecution
And those who've gone with me
