Post 1001!!!......:)(:SpaceCase

Well I just clicked on the link in my profile that tells me how many posts I've tainted while here at USM. I was blown away to see that my last interview post with Heather was my 1000th post. So I thought it was time to reflect on the contents of all I've written in just under 2 years. (My anni. is the 10th...and trust me, I will be posting & boasting ;) about that too!)

I was so troubled when I first decided to join USM...here is my first post, a poem I wrote called "Within":

When I gaze within,

A child I find,

So much to learn,

A simple mind,

With fears so great,

Distant hopes fall,

Deep in the shadows,

Cleaving the wall.

Here in my corner,

Of this vast world,

A great deal of mystery,

Waits to unfurl.

I find it ironic that some of these mysteries have been uncovered by USM and the wonderful authors that bring us their wonderful and sometimes terrifying stories.

I'm no longer in the shadows and I finally feel like a lady, and I feel like I owe USM for the change in my heart and visions.

During my time writing 1000 posts, I have spurned out several poems, some humorous, some serious, and some full of love for my fellow USMians.

I have covered two seasons worth of American Idol, made my opinions and heartbreaks about the war known, and enjoyed writing the USM Soap Opera for a while.

More recently I had a little fun with Mad Libs, and I'm sure you haven't seen the last of them, because I love getting USMers involved in story making. I have put out a few short stories, though I have left some incomplete...I will finish Connection though, if it kills me (HAHA). And my most recent and most rewarding USM endeavor, the Spacie Interviews have been so much fun!

I just want to thank all of you at USM, because you've made a real difference in my life, and have opened up my heart to love more than I ever knew was possible.

I have made friends here to last a lifetime, and so I dedicate this, my 1001st post to all of you at USM.

Thank you all for making life a little brighter and a whole lot more fun. I love to write and appreciate all the wonderful and thoughtful comments that you've left on the past 1000 posts!

Here's to USM and 1000 more posts for all of my friends (family) to enjoy!!

USM is a family in spirit and it's just what so many of us need!
