Sir Reinhardt was angry and his black heart reined over all the men of Gnard. His heart black like his land. The sun had burned in Gnard for so long that ashes had toppled the soil and everything was black like the night. Only carnivores lived there and followed Sir Reinhardts commands. Carnivorous men..that had been banished from their homes that came to Gnard as their last resort.

Hermine too had been banished and so he traveled to Gnard. When he arrived he dreamed of Fordor and the land that he had left behind. Hermines heart was full of envy and guilt. For he had betrayed his own father the King of Fordor.

"You have failed me Hermine!" screeched the bitter voice of Sir Reinhardt apon his arrival. Hermines shaken voice muttered "I have come to you in hopes that you will be my leader, and I shall do whatever it is that you may ask." "I've told you what it is that I want time and time again boy! The staff..the magical staff of Fordor!!" Sir Reinhardt yelled as he squinted his eyes at Hermine.

The nights grew colder and the land was dark. The sun had burned and burned for so long over Gnard that it never came back. Hermine lyed on his bed of ashes and sute at night and his heart became solid like stone. Until one night when Sir Reinhardt came into Hermines room with a handful or rusty armour.

"It begins!!" Sir Reinhardt said to him as he tossed the armour onto the floor.
