Date: 5/2/2004 10:56:00 AM From Authorid: 42259 Maybe it's a cyst? They can show up anywhere. My friend had one on her back. They're usually not dangerous, but you should get it checked out. |
Date: 5/2/2004 11:03:00 AM ( Admin ) Time to see a doctor. |
Date: 5/2/2004 11:48:00 AM From Authorid: 16845 I have no clue...I don't think lymph nodes swell to something you described though. I'd go see a doc... |
Date: 5/2/2004 11:53:00 AM From Authorid: 58078 Probably a cyst or inflamed lymph node. (sp?) My sister in law had a lump in the back of her neck she needed to have removed. Also, I think one on her back as well. Some people are just proned to it. They will do a biopsy though just to make sure its not cancerous. Hers weren't. I'm not sure if its the same thing but I'm sure its nothing to worry about, just go see your doctor. I have a cyst on my head and the doctor said as long as its mobile its fine. But in your neck I would say are the lymph nodes. |

I had this too about 13 years ago around Christmas and feared the worst. My doctor asked me if I had any cats and I said yes, (weird question I thought) but my husband also had the bump as well. Anyway, my doctor said that sometimes "catscratch fever" could cause it. Where the cat would make a scratch and infection got into the lymph gland. I was given an antibiotic and it was gone after a week or so. Not saying that is what it is, just in my case. Check with your doctor now though. |
Date: 5/2/2004 11:46:00 PM From Authorid: 26452 Ooo my boyfriend had one of those last year. I cannot remember what its called, but if its what my boyfriend had I'd suggest going to the DR soon so they can take it out the nice plainless way. He waited too long to go and they had to cut it open and push all of the gunk out with no pain killers. He said that was one of the most painfull things in his life. |
