Violinist's Enchantment ...By Dragon_tears

Footsteps fall upon a hall

The silver echoing of the patter.

And stir of breath, cloth sliding against flesh

Searching in such haste

For this enchanting melodic soul.

Alone, dancing upon the fingertips of shadow and light

In this rash pursue of childish infatuation

With the unknown.

Seduced by to the flame, child of innocence fooled by your own senses.

The sound clear and sublime echoing throughout the mind

Yet who is the musician who plays?

He dressed in all white, pale hand against the bow, drawing near only to slip
farther into Shadow.

Face masked by the pure cloak he wears, so you not see his face.

Music twining in, drowning the whispered screams of the demons

Light bright, hiding malicious grins

Be warned dear one, as you roam after him in blissful trance

The most dangerous of all evils, are those who wear white.

Date: 5/2/2004 12:12:00 PM  From Authorid: 13897    oh, beauuuuutiful! i used to write really awesome poetry like this, but i haven't really been able to anymore.i am definitely bookmarking this. and the last line really makes me think. hmm evil wears white, why is that? white is the color of purity and evil is usually known as tainted. also, evil is usually assigned the color black so it can hide and sneak around.. but perhaps evil wants to be seen? or maybe it's in some kind of disguise? or (and this is the explaination i like), white is the emptiest color- color of death- and evil is a gaping white emptiness. if you like, i'd love it if you wrote me back on my profile. =) i'd really like to know what you think! and again, beautiful, beautiful poem. beautiful enough to inspire a painting. =)
