One time a guy called our house and asked for Keith, which is my dad. Well my dad starts talking to him and I could see by his face he was really confused. When he got off he said it was a wrong number. Just so happens he was looking for a Keith with a different number, LOL  |

Usually if someone calls and I can tell it's a wrong number (if they ask for someone who doesn't live with us, etc.) I just say,"Hello, you've reached Crappy's Super Septic Sucky Service. We're not available right now because we suck." And then I hang up. -  |

I work at Verizon in the repair center taking calls. I get calls all the time from people telling me their stories about phantom calls, fax calls, calls for someone else, stalker calls...you name it I've heard it. I should start posting about the funniest or most unusual calls I get from customers. Anyway, good post, so far after investigating the reason why you get weird calls they've always been explained and it's never been a "super natural" cause but I know it can feel that way...IsisKAT  |

we get calls from people speaking vietmanise from time to time because of our last name...ummm I had one late night call where it was some guy who I thought was one of my cousins so we just started talking and I'm all of a sudden 'wait who the heck is this?' and he's like 'guess' 'I don't know' 'no really you do...gues' 'ummmmmmmm kenneth??' 'No it's ________' (Don't remember his name) turned out to be some poor guy who had the wrong number LOL.  |

just got one yesterday. was a name and number I do no recognize at all, they left a message on the answering machine and it was just dead silence then you could hear them sigh and then they whispered "oh god".. but it didn't sound like a frustrated "/sigh oh GOD!" it was more of a desperate sort of oh god. so I don't know. it was weird LOL  |

Hm, I was 17 years old when I got this one call. This guy calls up and he asked me if my mommy or daddy was there...keep in mind that I was 17!!! I said no they weren't home. THEN he asked if my BABYSITTER was there or if I could handle the phone call myself....(I have a little girls voice on the phone) ..hmmm I guess this wasn't really a random call but this popped into my mind.  |

Probably when some guy called asking for Rachel, I said you must have the wrong number, and hes all "No I don't" and proceeded to talk to me about how we supposidvly went to a bar last weekend and had alot of fun. I'm not even old enough to drink lol I just hung up on him.  |

Moon angel the same thing happened to me. Some old laddy rang up and said "is tiffany there?" And I said "sorry i do't know anyoe by that name" and she was look "are you sure?" and I kept saying yes and she kept going "are you absolutly positive?" and it got so anoying i acctaully hung up on her LOL.  |

lol my grandma takes care of ederly peoples in they're home so one time i called in there and i talked to her boss, and i was like "is brownie there" and he thought i said like bobby and grandpa or something so we had like a 10 minute convorsation about that...  |

lol i've had a few. idk who all had my cellphone number before i did.there were dr appointments, and other people called for a debbie whitehead...onece a girl called asking for her i was like "this isn't her number" she's like "whoes number is this?". i told her since she seemed nice., and a few were guys., and a few text messages were weird. one was a text asking what time they need to be at the blue room because they had to drive their grandparent somewhere first. i texted saying wrong number they're like "is this not matt?" LOL i'm like no. [i dunno what the blue room is when i looked it up there are a few places that's for wedding pics, ect called the blue room...i wonder how that worked out LOL] it got to the point where all numbers from those i know are on my contact if i dont know the number i wont answer. ever got a "tv-like" telemarket call like it was someone putting the phone up to the screen while a commercial was playing or something? weirrrd.  |
