Thats so sad..In my county they have been banned..You can not own a pit bull. Although, I know a person that raises them...you would think that they have no conscious especially if one happened to severely hurt someone. sad..  |

I believe the pit bulls are so dangerous . I love dogs .. but not these... I wish they would banish every one of them from the face of the earth!I have heard of them killing so many children and even adults! I pray this little one will have a complete healing for her highest and best good.  |

I will keep the Child and the Family in my thoughts and Prayers. But Kethria does have a good point. It's how they are raised as to how they become. I've come across some pretty mean pit-bulls, and I have come across some that are big babies. It's not just pit-bulls that can turn (mind you how they are raised)any dog can. *hugs*  |

oh how horrible I will keep the family and child in my thoughts. Around here there arent that many what people call vicious dogs. But you know ANY dog ANY breed can turn. Alot of it has to do with bredding and raising them. I will not own a Pit bull because most often they are bred from fighters so they have VERY Aggressive genes bred into them. We have LARGE dogs and they are big babies. At least to everyone that knows them and as long as they are not in our cars. Brutus is a Lab Rott mix he is a darling but do not approach him if he is in a car, he may bite. Taz is a Shepard mix, he is the sweetest dog, well trained and very smart. but he will not let a stranger in our cars. I am glad that they destroyed the dog that tore up the little girl, hopfully they will find out who owned it so they can go after them for medical costs. The poor child has along road to recover, I will prayer for her everyday and hope that she heals fast and well.  |

Thats awful poor thing. I don't have a problem with pit bulls, I have owned one(my mom is an ex dog trainer, vet tech, groomer, etc she knows what shes doing with dogs) she was good dog, but when people are being stupid, thats when others get hurt and/or killed. I cant stand it when people will not properly train such a dangerous dog..  |

I don't understand the fascination some have for dangerous breeds of different animals, including dogs, particularly owning or having around children. I have young grandchildren this age, and stories like this are heartbreaking. I will never understand why children are left alone or near animals considered dangerous, anymore than I understand parents who "forget" their child in a car on a hot day. I just don't.  |
