Storyteller.........................Autopilot

Ocean wide, silent winds,
A modest moonlit bay
Ocean floor, thoughtless grave
A shattering dismay

Burning sun, raging flame
A man who lost command,
Broken stone, desert heat
A city lost in sand

Rising night, buried bones,
Within a rusty tomb
Painfull truth, worthless gold
Where kings will lie alone

Hungry eye, spiteful tongue
A word, a million lies
People die, stories cry
A breath, a million tries

Storyteller, Storyteller
Faces, places, dreams
Aging like the elder tree,
Nothing is how it seems

Life, a thousand words,
A trillion strikes in one,
The falling leaves, the failing breeze,
Until the day is done

Fingers point, temper flares,
Lives revealed on pages,
A piece of such a giant tale
A story told in stages
