Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the dear lord cares.
For he never stood by my side, or answered my pleading prayers.
Night by night, day by day, I felt so empty and alone.
Tears rolled down my bloody cheeks as the knife and I condoned.
Screaming and pleading my life away for you.
These emotions I just cannot bare or stand to live through.
Slice by slice, cut by cut, dangerously close to my vein.
Relaxed, not worried, I am alive, and my tears I have seemed to strain.
Laughing, smiling, finally myself and glad the pains gone away.
