Im interested in my Genealogy but when I went to try and research it ugh I couldnt find any good FREE info. All I know is my great grandparents names and the names of one of my great great grandparents. Is there any good free places to look up Genealogy? Thanxies!

Date: 4/27/2004 7:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 24732    I know there is some free way to do it, both sides of my family had relatives from Germany do it all for us. Though I think it was easy for them because everyone in my family descended from Germany, and everyone married someone who descended from Germany (I even still live on my ancestors land and they are burried on my property). Besides the internet there are newspapers, birth records, death records/cemetaries that you can use to help you. Your relatives might even have some of that information.
Date: 4/27/2004 7:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 24732    Also, if you know what areas they are from you could probably search wedding annoucements from local newspaper. Most libraries have newspaper archives that go way back.
Date: 4/27/2004 7:48:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 15675    thanks ALF. I know where their from and such but like only as far back as my Great Grandparents. I know on one side my Great Grandpa's parents came from Sweden and on the other side from Germany but I have no clue where in those places they were from let alone maiden names or anything :S
