I am a Jesus freak...lol...He moves me to be a wacky spirit Funny that it's Duncanville, because I made a friend with a preacher's son, Doug (can't recall last name now) from Duncanville...when I went to a Baptist Youth Retreat in Glorietta, NM....I agree with everything you said in this post. Good job! |

the best part about being a Jesus Freak is that NO ONE can take Him away...even if they take away your Bible and rip you of the right to publically worship. He can hear your every thought and remains with you and in your heart no matter what....there is no removal of that! |

It's amazing where people's loyalties really lie. Some will tell you they would stand up for God, but in the face of certain death, they would not. Even Peter denied Jesus 3 times, just as Jesus said he would. |

I take my Bible to school with me everyday, and I also bring my devotional book called Stomping Out the Darkness with me to read when I finish work early. Every Tuesday and Thursday morning I meet with a group of friends before school and we pray, and every Monday and Friday we skip lunch and pray in the library. It is ridiculas for a teacher to tell a student she cannot bring her Bible to school! She isn't hurting anyone. Also, about the little Russian girl, during revival at my church we watched a video series about Christians being persecuted in other countries. Her story brought tears to my eyes, that little girl was so brave. I am a Jesus Freak and everyone at my school knows it. I would be suspended from school before I would leave my Bible at home. |

What will people think, when they hear that I'm a Jesus freak? What will people do when they find that it's true? I don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak, There ain't no disguising the truth.... |

as a Wiccan Im outraged that that happened to both little girls! As long as their not going around preaching how everyone should love Jesus they should be allowed to read their bibles, thats just not fair... |

I am also Pentecostal and I dont take my Bible to school everyday because our school is a public school but we still pray and have something every morning called "Cubs for Christ" My school has done this for many years and still hasnt gotten in trouble. I've never been told not to practice my religion in school. My mom told me earlier that it's up to our generation to put God back into schools or the childern of the futher will be lost without him. Love Always, Cady |

um...I don't think they should be teaching God in a public school, but that doesn't mean that students should be forbid from bringing bibles to school. That's in violation of a person's constitutional rights. Anyhow, school libraries carry bibles, I don't see how students can forbidden to, and honestly I've never heard of such a school policy. This whole thing sounds rather fishy to me. Perhaps the teacher is going outside of his authority. Oh, and that whole thing about schools being so dangerous now= big myth created by the media. |

Yeah, Columbine was a media created myth. Peduka, (sp) Kentucky was a myth. The bozo that took a gun to my sisters school last week was a myth... |

The story of the little Russian gal was in the book ' Jesus Freak ' by DC Talk . I cant believe people want to deny a little kids right to love the Lord . There is something very messed up about that . Razzy aka |

Molly Cat . I did not include this in my post , but those two psychos at Columbine were asking people if they believed in God . Whenever a student said YES , they were shot and killed . Those young students were also Jesus Freaks . After seeing the Passion of Christ and seeing what He went through , I would rather get shot than deny God . Razzy aka |

Hmm, I seriously don't think satan has anything to do with religion not being in school, but i agree religion should not be kicked out of school. The problem is when people begin attacking others religions, like if a scholl were to be all catholic then if there was a jewish kid at that school he might be made fun of and such. Then the only option would be separation (jewish kids can only go to jewish schools, christians can only go to christian schools, etc.) and that would just be a major step backward for equality. Mabye if a religion class was given has an optional class in schools? That would probably work out ok. |

What about the little girl who doesn't believe in Jesus? What happens to her at prayer time when she doesn't pray? What will the other children do to her?... thats why I say no prayer or references to ANY God in school ... |

Honestly, I wouldn't want son learning about God at school from ppl I don't know. Teaching of morals, and beliefs starts at home. Too many christians are lazy and want the schools doing it for them. That's why schools are unsafe, because of lazy parents. DUH! |

that's just how the myth gets created, Eddo: these how profile cases. They get hyped to death, and suddenly we want to think that bunches of kids are carrying automatic weapons in school. But they are isolated incidents. Just example of how the media can shape our perception of the world. |

Religion doesnt belong in public schoolat all thats what church and catholic schools for example are for.If religion would be allowed are people ready to allow all of them.Satanism for instance and before you try to bash it read about it first not just what you hear fom parents and so called news reports. |

This is ridiculous. There is nothing against any law that says a child can not read her bible. Talk about throwing the baby out with the bath water. |

i wouldn't associate the word freak with the savior. But good story. Even the commies knew the one thing that could unite the people no matter what, was the word of the true God. Yet our own wise country cannot. |

people would argue the whole seperation of church and state, which is a good argument.. but if they weren't preaching to others and forcing them to listen.. then they did nothing wrong. they have the right to carry it with them anywhere they want. people are just ignorant. I know a girl in my choir who carries her bible with her. she has it there for herself, and thats fine. good for her! we have a morning prayer at the flag sometimes, depending on whats been going on (like after 9/11, or when 2 boys in our school died in a car crash this year).. as long as they don't force others to listen, then they aren't doing anything wrong. |

Knightmare, if you look up the slang definitions of the word "freak," I think they fit quite well decsribing intense followers of Christ: (b) An eccentric or nonconformist person, especially a member of a counterculture. (c)An enthusiast: example- rock music freaks. |

If you have the Bible, then you must also open the door to ALL other BOOKS of religious belief. And WHICH one should children be taught in public school, and which is right. The most popular today or perhaps tomorrow? No one should be shot for any religion and certainly not a child for bringing a "book" to school. Hopefully the world will realize, that meaning and faith are much more than books and killing others or bringing silence to other faiths by violence. Regardless of faith, the one true meaning, should be crystal clear. |
