A few years ago, I tried to join a few different discussion boards, and someone had used "LSG", "ladyspiritguide", and "ladyspirit_guide". This happen on a few boards that USM'ers occasionally frequent. Also, when I switched to AOL, someone had used the same combinations. Now, when my Yahoo account was hacked in 2002 (2001?) , the person changed my password, got access to my private address book, and up until last year, certain USM'er were STILL getting emails from that account claiming to be me. Yes, I did report it to Yahoo, AOL, and several different agencies. And, yes, I am aware that some USM'ers write stories on other sites accusing me of "Lying" about having my account hacked. There are alterior motives there. A former member here, Child of Kali, had her account hacked at the same time that I did. Even here at USM, George once asked me to change my password. Now, in the time I have been at USM, USM has been hacked, what?, three times I think. (that I can remember at least).Now, why is it so hard to believe, that anyone who is childish enough to try to strike at USM, is above striking at individuals at USM? And, yes, I do know what Catherine is going through. Obviously she has offended someone who will attempt to dis-credit her, an slander (actually Liable) her, but people who know her, will know what is, and is not really her writing.  |

Last year, a USM'er that I actually have a friendship with away from USM, asked me why I was "talking to them" since they had received a firey email from the old "ladyspirit_guide@yahoo" account, and they thought we were not speaking. *sigh* People, trust me, I do not have a shyness problem. Thinker, I get about 180 junk mails a day to porno sites, I have never visited such sites on my PC, the only way they can get the address is by purchasing mailing list from other completely unrelated sites that I may have signed up to. If you look carefully on some sites there is a small 'opt out' from recieving 'offers' etc, if you neglect to check it then your addy will just go from one mailing list to another and so forth...VERY irritating when you have children who use your PC! |

You know what Cat? I'm not going to beat around the bush. So many of us have been around here for sooo long, we talk, and we get some clue of others just by how long we have hung around here. I talk to some of you as often as I talk to my daughter in another state. You know, Catherine is very real, she will DEBATE issues, and there is the fine line. Catherine debates, she uses logic, and she reads, that Girl reads Everything! And she has LIVED! And she GIVES. Would I? No WAY, I would never be as unselfish as my Catherine is. Never. She IS one of the most HONEST persons I've ever seen here. Ask her for anything, and likely she will give, from her heart. I never needed anything, not money or help, but Catherine is one of the best friends I've ever met here in almost four years. And very honest. Do you realize that we, the majority of us see and read other sites that give even more insight to each other. Being ugly and nasty is one thing, but when one stands up for what they believe in, across the board, we have a responsibility. Yes we do, whether it is religion, truth, or justice, or medicine, whatever we take on in life as our mission, to be fair and honest, as straightforward as possible, and yes, people get an insight and see much, and rationalize what they WILL by exactly what others write and do. Brenda-I could not possibly add more than what you have said. Catherine IS a passionate, and intelligent Woman. Her passion comes from her experiences, and her brillant mind. Yes, people, if you have ever spoken to her on the phone, you could see how share, how wonderful that mind is. (That is why there is such irony in attacking her, and suggesting she "needs Meds".) One other thing, Catherine is embarassed I believe when people point out how deeply generous she is. I have cried when I have heard stories of her caring heart. And, I have been furious when those she helped, took secrets made in friendship, and used them as weapons in a heated debate. People can disagree, people can argue. It will happen. And, helping someone does not mean that you cannot disagree with them. But, I am talking about really vile attackings using personal information. EDDO-look at my Author ID#. Look ar Brenda's. Bigdaddi9-this person went on another site & admitted he did it. He was laughing about it. He has done it to other USM'ers too. The bad thing is, Cat never had a chance to defend herself, since she was not a member at one of the sites. |

Catherine, I am so very sorry I am just now reading this post as I have not been too involved with USM lately as you know I have had my own to deal with. All I have to say is that I am so sorry that others are doing this to you. Its terrible and immature for people to act in such a manner. I truly believe in what goes around comes around. You do not deserve this treatment nor does anybody. I have not been to any other sites since leaving Texas otherwise I would keep a look out for you. I know its gotta hurt you, do not stoop to their level Cat. We both know that you are more mature than that and if you play games you too will be the one, one day who gets played. HUGS,  |

Cat, two things: For your email, you can turn on a blocker for spam mail, if your email provider has it and for what to do, is there anyway you can tell who this person internet provider is...via email or whatnot, example [email protected]. If so you can contact them. They can trace the person and will disconnect their service. Hope some of this helps.  |
