Erica is my Best Friend, she lives next door to me. Her Grandmother is very ill. Her Grandmother is going to be 82 on April 25th. She went into the Hospital about 2 weeks ago and was having problems with her heart. Then ended up going back in this past Friday, her whole Family was notified to come to the Hospital, her Grandmother was not going to make it this time. She went up to see her and she was not doing well at all. Erica was told that her Grandmother has 4 Anuerisms (three in her stomach, and one on her heart that is now leaking). Her Grandmother told her and the Family that she no longer wants any kind of treatment (She is also on Kidney Dialisis), other than her pain medicine and oxygen. She is ready to go "home". And has seen realitives that have been desceased for years, telling her to come home. I feel for her. Her Grandmother raised from the time she was practically born until she was 11 years old. Says she doesn't know what she is going to without her. Erica has also told her Grandmother that she is free to go "home" when she is ready, that Erica is not going to hold her here. Please keep her in your Prayers, and Pray that she does get to go "home" without any pain. And keep Erica and her Family in your Prayers that they get through this hard time.
*UPDATE*
Her dear Grandmother passed away today at 12:00 noon. She was asleep, took one last deep breath and went home. Erica's sister said after her last breath was taken, she has tears streaming down her face. She went peacefully. Her showing is on Thursday and her Funeral is Friday. Erica is holding up pretty well for now. And on top of this happening with her Grandmother, she got evicted from her home today, and is going to move in with her Mother. Her Mother is excited about them moving in, and is afraid to be alone after losing her Mother.

Halloween is Right around the corner.. .

...reminds me how scared I was when my nanny was in the hospital not that long ago; that night after visiting her and hearing about anothersick relative I broke down and just cried. It really hits me hard; when I was younger I lost my mom, I was ten, and since then I have lost a lot of other people and now that I am older I am always worrying and clinging to life a bit too hard. I can relate to your friend and make sure your there for her! My thoughts and prayers are with her Grandmother and I pray God's loving Hand is upon her. Give your friend a hug for me?
