The morning sun
Stares across from the horizon
In awe of her presence.
She stands in a tired robe
Watching the sun rise,
Smoking
To continue the calm.
That orange light of dawn shimmers
Across the million little blades
Blazing green.
In her eyes
Rests joy and admiration
And an epiphany almost grasped.
But, it departs
As the dew dries
On the blades
In the dawning sun.
It is just this woman
And the horizon.
